Christine Erdman

CHRISTINE MARIE ERDMAN Christine Marie Erdman, 57, a resident of Bickford Cottage, Davenport passed away Oct. 14, 2011 at her home in Davenport, Iowa. She was born in Moline, IL on February 11, 1954, the daughter of Edith and Herbert Erdman. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 22 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1450 – 30th Avenue, East Moline, with a visitation one hour prior to service. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline, IL.

During the past nine years, she lived at Bickford Cottage Assisted Living in Davenport, Iowa. She felt a close family atmosphere with the love and support of their staff. She graduated from UTHS in East Moline. She was a baptized and confirmed member of St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline. Christine had a gift for singing and enjoyed Karaoke with Mark and Mike plus reading and enjoyed word-find books. In her lifetime, she had been a soloist at Herbert Hoover Presidential Library, church and other civic events. She is to be admired for her faith in God, her bravery, courage, strength and motivation to remain active despite her disabilities.

Survivors include: brother, Arthur Erdman Sr.; nieces and nephew, Rhonda (Robert) Clausen, Carla (Kevin) Amstein, Arthur (Rezwana) Erdman Jr., Texas; great nieces and nephews, Madison, Ayrton and Ryker Clausen, Kaden Amstein, Hafsa Hanafi, Texas. Godmother/cousin, Lois Schulmeister, Crystal Lake, IL; special cousin, Ellen Lundeen, East Moline, IL; close friend, Tina Cole; the staff at Bickford Cottage and many other cousins.

She was preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Edith Erdman.
