Arthur Gorman

U.S. Veteran

Arthur A “Art” Gorman, passed away February 15, 2012 in Lonaconing, Maryland. Memorial services are 1:30PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline with visitation from 12 Noon until service time. Graveside committal will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery with military honors. Art was born July 15, 1935 in Wapallo, IA, the son of Charles and Catherine (Hinthorn) Gorman. He retired in 1985 from the East Moline Police Department after 20 years with the department. He enjoyed NASCAR Races, Chicago Bears Football, Chicago Cubs Baseball and whenever returning the the Quad Cities an order of tacos from the Ice Cream Palace in Silvis and Franks Pizza. He served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife Norma, children and spouses; Cari (Brian)Kenney, Moline, Arnold Gorman, Colona, Lori (Joe) Thomas, Denver, CO and Jeffery Gorman, Missouri, ten grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, half brothers David Fuller and Gail Fuller and a half sister Karen Sue West.
