Bonnie J. (Howard) Dopler

Bonnie J. Dopler, 65, of East Moline, IL, passed away Monday April 8, 2024, in Moline, IL. after a long battle with cancer. 

Services will be held 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, April 13, at Central Baptist Church, Moline, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be at a later date at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Bonnie was born December 2, 1958, in Moline, Illinois, a daughter of Willis and Vora (Mosher) Howard. She married Joseph M. Dopler on December 16, 2007, in Rock Island County. He preceded her in death on June 11, 2013.

Bonnie was a caregiver for The ARC of the Quad Cities for many years. She retired in 2011.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Moline. 

Bonnie loved music and had a long history of singing at church and special services. 

Her infectious smile will be missed the most. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Laura Lee (Greg) Hintz, Wheaton, IL, Carolyn Ellison, Moline IL; John V. Ledbetter, Milan IL; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Vickie (Brad) England, Springfield, MO, Betty Howard, Moline, John (Bonnie) Howard, Moline, Grace McCollum and Carol Parrott, both of East Moline; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; and her parents, Willis and Vora.
